4. Secular/Agnostic/Atheist: 850 million

Atheists aren’t as rare/underground as most people think. They are quite common, especially world-wide and according to these statistics, out of 100 people you meet internationally, 17 of them will probably be Atheist/Agnostic. And Christians only out number us roughly 2 : 1.

Top Religions in the U.S. as of 2001

1. Christianity as 76.5% of the population (+5% increase in 10 years)
2. Nonreligious/Secular as 13.2% (a whopping 110% increase in 10 years)
3. Judaism as 1.3% (10% decrease in the last 10 years)

Islam, Buddist, and Atheist/Agnostics make up only a negligible percent of the U.S. population, which shows how ridiculously popular Christianity is in our society compared to the rest of the world).

Prison Population
Only .2% of the U.S. prisoner population are Atheists. That’s 2 out of every 1000 prisoners. It’s only logical to conclude that the vast majority of the other 998 out of 1000 are Chistians.

Largest Atheist Populations as of 1991

1. East Germany - 88.2% in the country are Atheists. The most by far!
2. Russia - 27.3% of the country are Atheists.
3. Israel - 25.6%, of all places!
4. Netherlands - 24.1%
5. Norway - 14.9%
6. Britain - 14%, even the country that founded us is way ahead in logical thinking!
7. West Germany - 12.1%

Germany as a whole seems to be way ahead of the rest of the world in free thinking, and logic. Germany has always been ahead of the rest of the world for quite some time now in all kinds of sectors. How is that Germany is mostly Atheist, where we, the U.S., are still stuck in primitive Christian thinking?

Divoce Rates

1. Jews have the highest divorce rate, a whopping 30% of their population has been divorced
2. “Born-Again” Chistians are next in line at 27% of their own population
3. Other Christians are at 24%
4. Atheists/Agnostics are at 21%

Considering divorce is against Christian teaching, the divorce rates among Christians are extremely high. If their religion actually supported divorce, I’d imagine it would be much higher. Overall, the Top 10 “highest divorce rate” states in the U.S. are ALL Republican Red states, where the Religious Right thrives. None of them are blue, liberal states, where free thought is encouraged. The statistics speak for themselves.
